Helpful Tips:
Success in planting depends on first obtaining quality nursery stock, and second a commitment to caring for your new plants - especially in the first few weeks after installation. Planting with a good organic compost or topsoil (mixed in with your native soil backfill), and then watering thoroughly when needed, should be your two primary goals. Larger plants and trees should also be staked and tied securely.
Long Term Maintenance:
"Prune in June" is a good general rule to follow for most plants. At this time of the year most of the new growth has emerged and hardened off in the heat of the late spring or early summer. This also gives the plant time to recover from pruning and set new buds for the following year. For help with any of your pruning needs, as well as all other landscape maintenance services, don't hesitate to call us at 443-474-8044. One of our knowledgeable staff members can usually make a service call within a few days.
